About

Why Work with a Designer?

Over the years, I've had a number of people say to me, "I would never work with an interior designer." Luckily, I'm not easily discouraged. I'd like to set your mind at ease.

1 ) A designer makes the numbers work.

You know and understand the importance of a budget. I understand every cost associated with design - down to the very stitch. I know how furniture and fabrics are constructed, how they wear, and where to find them at the right price. I understand where to find real value, longevity of style, and lasting quality.

Most of my clients are happily surprised to find out that a designer covers their own costs. We get discounts not available to the public, everywhere we go.

2 ) A designer is a library.

You know your favorite websites, pieces, and pins. My mind and closet are ever-growing archives - 25 years of research on hundreds and hundreds of paint colors, fabric swatches, spacial arrangements, and manufacturers. You won't have to sort through mountains of design; instead, show me single ideas, and I'll show you all the possibilities.

3 ) A designer is a filter.

You know and understand what you love. I understand how to take that love, and transform it into the dog-eared pages of your favorite magazines. A designer is the difference between "this works" and just plain giddy. You know the feeling. I want you to feel that every time you walk in your own front door. I'm not truly satisfied with my work, until you do.
